It’s that time of year when we pull out the tree or go get one from a lot. When I was a kid, we always had a real tree, it usually was kinda Charlie Brown-ish. I love the smell of a pine tree. My kids are not so excited about a real tree, they actually choose the fake tree each year 😦 Oh well, it does save us some money…
It is tradition to take a photo of each of them adding their ornaments to the tree. The little kids are full of the excitement wonder of each ornament, the older kids have lost that wonder and joy 😦
Cody places one of his oldest ornaments, Rudolph, made by Nana on the tree.
Shantel places an ornament given to her by “Auntie” Laura. It was near to painful though for her to put one on the tree… I really don’t understand why my teenagers are so against decorating the tree.
Savanna placed a lollipop ornament given to her by Grandma and Grandpa on the tree.
Robby placed all of his ornaments on the tree. His favorite is a gingerbread man given to him by his grandparents.
Love to watch the little kids pull out each one and choose just the right place for it. His favorite one is a rocking horse.
EmmaLece was so excited to get the tree out and decorated! We actually got it out and up by the 2nd of December….. that is pretty early for us. Her current favorite is a sparkly gold teddy bear.
My favorite is when the lights are all out and just the tree is lit.
May your days be filled with the calm and soothing of a lighted tree a the dark room. Remember the reason for the season!
